Position: Senior SEO Specialist
Reporting to the SEO Director, the Senior SEO Specialist plays an essential role in advancing and strengthening our search engine optimization practices. With recognized expertise and substantial experience, this person will be responsible for leading the optimization of SEO strategies for some of our most important clients.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Digital Operations and Media Planning teams to integrate SEO into an overall media strategy.
- Conduct competitive analyses and keyword research to inform content strategies.
- Perform comprehensive technical audits covering, among other things, site architecture, indexing, log file analysis, and structured data.
- Design and implement innovative link-building strategies that comply with current standards and best practices.
- Plan and implement local SEO initiatives (Google Business Profile).
- Develop and manage SEO dashboards and analytical reports to evaluate and present performance against defined objectives.
- Maintain ongoing monitoring of search algorithm updates and SEO best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4–5 years of SEO experience, ideally in a media or digital agency environment.
- University degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data to support strategic decision-making.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads certifications are an asset.
- Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken.

- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously.

The agency is based in Montreal, however, working from Montreal is not necessary as remote work is a possibility at Espace M. We also allow up to 3 months of remote work outside of Quebec per year.
