Position: Media Buyer

Reporting directly to the Director, Media Buying, this role is essential for the development and implementation of innovative media buying strategies for our clients. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including the Buying Director, Media Planners, and Digital Platform Specialists, to optimize media purchases.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Request, analyze, and compare media proposals (traditional and digital) to optimize advertising campaign launches.
  • Develop media calendars and purchasing strategies in collaboration with the Buying Director, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives and budgets.
  • Create and present detailed strategy documents for proposed media plans.
  • Actively negotiate media placements and finalize agreements, aiming for optimal conditions for the agency and its clients.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental communications for the production and delivery of creative materials, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Oversee invoice and contract reviews, ensuring compliance and accuracy of information.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analyses using secondary data sources (Numeris, Vividata, Nielsen, etc.) to inform purchasing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years of proven experience in media buying.
  • University degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of Quebec and Canadian media landscapes and current market trends.
  • Fluent in French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
